HELP New Mexico, Inc. (HELPNM) fue creada y constituida como Home Education Livelihood Program, Inc. en 1965 por el Consejo Interdenominacional de Iglesias de Nuevo México y su sucesor, la Conferencia de Iglesias de Nuevo México y Church Women United. Entre los fundadores se encontraban pastores, ganaderos, trabajadores agrícolas, amas de casa, empresarios y funcionarios públicos.
